NCC Wing Report - Sainik School Jhansi
Academic Session: 2022-2023 & 2024-2025
The NCC Wing (Junior Division/Junior Wing - JD/JW and Senior Division/Senior Wing - SD/SW) at Sainik School Jhansi has remained an integral part of the school's mission to nurture disciplined and responsible citizens.
In the academic session 2022-2023, the JD/JW wing was inspected with an approved intake of 187 cadets.
In the session 2024-2025, the SD/SW wing was inspected with an approved intake of 160 cadets.
The school is devoted to the noble cause of nurturing and shaping the character of youth, instilling in them the core values of patriotism, service, courage, selflessness, devotion, and discipline.
Objective
The NCC unit of Sainik School Jhansi functions under the administrative control of 56 UP Battalion NCC, Jhansi, which in turn reports to the Group Headquarters, Kanpur. It is committed to the following goals:
- To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, a secular outlook, spirit of adventure, and sportsmanship, along with the ideal of selfless service among the youth.
- To create a trained and organized pool of motivated young individuals, capable of providing leadership in all walks of life, including the armed forces, and ready to serve the nation in times of need.
Activities and Commitment
The NCC wing of the school is enthusiastic, active, and deeply committed to the values and objectives of the force.
In addition to regular parades and drills, the unit also conducts academic, social, and physical development activities aimed at the holistic growth of cadets.
Through these efforts, the school continues to play a vital role in moulding young cadets into disciplined, confident, and responsible citizens of the nation.
